Who says the economy is in recession? This year’s Las Vegas World Market (WMCLV) was packed with eager designers, buyers, and retailers.
This year shopping for several clients and demanding more attention from the showrooms, I could not help but notice how much activity there was at the market and how busy all the product reps seemed to be. Great news for the design industry!
Early on, after what we called a “tour of the market escalators” in search for breakfast, we bumped into a reporter for the market mag Home Accents Today. She was eager to know what trends we were in search of…and the answer – modern eclectic!
We have been known for our historic modern projects for the past several years, but currently we are working on a project that stretches across the US and pulls inspiration from New England, and the WMCLV had a ton of the exact sexy merchandise we were in search of.
Quick report on hot trends this market – light worn woods, rough distressed metals, pop of color, warmer greys, and texture, texture, texture! Stay tuned for Deed’s report of her “wow” moment at the event.
